Who? Students from throughout the nine counties of the San Francisco Bay Area

My daughter and I have been walking to school since she started kindergarten, and she’s now in fifth grade. We walk because we’re close to the school (a half-mile) and I know it’s good for us. Plus, we’ll do anything we can to help cut down on the traffic during drop-off and pick-up.

Earlier this year, students in Santa Clara were invited to get creative and design Safe Routes to School-themed posters. Grand prize winners received a unique reward: their posters were displayed on Santa Clara County Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) buses! The contest is a great example of the broader reach SRTS has when partnerships are utilized.
